Things to Do

Atlanta Botanical Garden

Sarah and Matthew are both members of the ABG, and this is where we celebrated our engagement with our families. The garden has various exhibits throughout the year and also has permanent installations of several Chihuly glass pieces.

Ponce City Market and the Beltline

One of our favorite date locations.

Ponce City Market is a multi-use building that has lots of restaurants and boutique shopping, and it is located in a former Sears, Roebuck and Co. building (built in the 1920s).

It is located along the Beltline, which is paved walking and biking trail that was converted from abandoned railroad lines. Eventually it will become a a 22-mile loop of multi-use trails that will encircle Atlanta.

National Center for Civil and Human Rights

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights is a museum dedicated to the achievements of the civil rights movement in the United States and the broader worldwide human rights movement.

Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the United States. It exhibits hundreds of species and thousands of animals across its seven major galleries, all of which reside in more than 11 million gallons of water. Make sure to see the dolphin show (it is included with a general admission ticket, but you need to reserve your seat)!

World of Coca-Cola

The World of Coca-Cola is a museum showcasing the history of The Coca-Cola Company. It is located next to the Georgia Aquarium and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights.

Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum

The Jimmy Carter Library and Museum houses President Jimmy Carter's papers and other material relating to the Carter administration and the Carter family's life. The library also hosts special exhibits, such as Carter's Nobel Peace Prize and a full-scale replica of the Oval Office as it was during the Carter Administration.
